In 1988, Steve Cook purchased MY Oldsmobile in Vassar MI. Soon after, in 1989, he added a used car lot on M15 across from the Vassar Building Center. Unfortunately, in July of 1991, the building at the bottom of the hill was destroyed by fire. Tragedy turned to triumph in November when Steve purchased Zehnder Motor Sales and brought the Oldsmobile franchise to the Top of the Hill. This added the Chevrolet, Buick and Pontiac franchises to make Cook Oldsmobile into the Cook GM Super Store.

 

Also in 1991, Steve added a detail shop to his growing one-stop-shop automotive “Super Store”. 1999 brought another facet to the Cook GM Super Store with the addition of a Pennzoil 10 minute Quick Lube. Now, Cooks  has a new car building, GM Certified used car lot, budget lot, collision center, detail shop, service center, parts department and quick lube.   In May of 2005, we celebrated our Grand Re-Opening with a brand new showroom - completely rebuilt from the ground up to serve you even better.
